Next Tuesday 13th June, our colleagues Jose Antonio Clemente and Amelia del Rey will assist to the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) user workshop, organized by CAMS in cooperation with the Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET).
The workshop is taking place during the first day of the CAMS General Assembly celebrated in Valencia.
Within the framework of the H2020 R&D project EIFFEL: “Revealing the role of GEOSS as the default digital portal for building Climate Change adaptation & mitigation applications”, PRODEVELOP is using CAMS within the implementation of pilot 3.
This pilot is based on the development of a climate change web application to support the Balearic Port Authority in their day-to-day environmental monitoring tasks to minimize or reduce their environmental impact by providing insights on the emissions of main atmospheric pollutants (NO2, SO2, O3 and PM2.5), as well as optimizing the berthing allocation. The work is focused both on data gathering and processing, AI pollution forecast models building as well as on the UI that supports the decision-making. This pilot retrieves air pollution information from Sentinel 5P products and the service CAMS (Regional Forecasts, Model Ensemble) with a spatial resolution of 10×10 km to retrieve daily forecast of these pollutants for 24, 48 and 72 hours’ time interval.
Stay tunned if you want to learn more about the event. 😉
