Prodevelop will digitalise the operational and financial processes of the Port Autonome de Douala through an integrated solution, aiming to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of services provided.
The Port Autonome de Douala (PAD) is strengthening its digitalisation strategy by collaborating with the Spanish company Prodevelop to deploy a port management software solution. This partnership aims to deeply transform its operations, optimising internal processes and improving the management of operational and financial data while providing quality service to its clients.
The project has several key objectives: to optimise the turnaround times for ships and cargo within the port, enhance the quality of services provided to stakeholders of the PAD, increase the operational performance of its processes, and improve the management of financial and operational data, among others. A community portal will centralise requests and payments through a single-entry point. The system will provide a coherent source of information, allowing for reliable statistics to support decision-making.
Prodevelop will apply an agile methodology to ensure iterative and adaptable development, while also ensuring active involvement from business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. A continuous training plan will be implemented to guarantee effective adoption and optimal deployment of the solution.
Additionally, Prodevelop will be responsible for providing support and corrective maintenance to ensure the proper functioning and evolution of the solution. The project will also include the retrieval of critical data and integration with existing systems, ensuring a seamless transition to the new software.
This initiative reaffirms Prodevelop’s position as one of the leaders in digital transformation within the global port sector, leveraging over 30 years of experience in similar projects in Europe and Africa. The collaboration with the Port Autonome de Douala marks a significant step toward modernising the port’s technological infrastructure, positioning it as a benchmark in the region for efficiency and digitalisation.
