Why do Smart Cities appear?
More than half of the world’s population lives in cities and according to UN by 2050 more than 70% of the human beings will live in urban centres. In developed countries this number could reach up to 85,9%. This could become a real problem unless we are able to keep the harmony between spatial, social and environmental aspects of the cities as well as the coexistence among its inhabitants.
Among the biggest challenges faced by the cities are the planning, administration and governance in a sustainable manner, by maximizing business opportunities and minimizing environmental hazards
