We are glad to announce that, for the very first time, we have been invited to The African Ports Forum (APF) organized by One Africa Forum on the 28th, 29th and 30th of May in Cotonou.
Since 2004, One Africa Forum (formerly known as i-conferences) has been bringing together actors from the public and private sectors to showcase the best and exemplary practices around the continent, empowering African countries. In light of this, the APF acts as a space among stakeholders in the port ecosystem committed to accelerating the economic integration of the continent by promoting the development of efficient ports accessible to international trade.
In the span of three days, the event will centre around the theme “Ports Africans of the Future, Catalyst for dynamism and integration”. Both Stakeholders willing to invest in tech-developed ports and experts eager to share their knowledge and expertise, can dive into various topics such as geopolitical issues and positioning in global logistics, sustainable ports, the development and modernisation of African Ports, trade fluidity; and in particular, have the opportunity to visit to the Port Authority of Cotonou to discover the ongoing operations and modern infrastructure.
On the second day at the event, we are proud to have Christophe Joubert, our International Ports Deputy COO, join in the Debate Panel about African Ports in the digital Big Bang, to exchange views and arguments on how African ports can take or are taking advantage of emerging technologies to improve their operational efficiency and boost their competitiveness.
