iTerminals 4.0 is a R&D Project, co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union, which will boost digitalisation of port operations and the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies within the container-handling sector. Specifically, in detail new IoT solutions and operational pilots have been developed at strategic container terminals based on the Core Network Ports of the Trans–European Transport Network.
The project has tested and evaluated advanced Industry 4.0 pilots applied to the operational environment of port-container terminals including the upgrade of port equipment’s sensor networks, the design of advanced big data and predictive analytics, the application of artificial intelligence as well as the provision of business intelligence models and real-time dynamic KPIs reporting.
The Consortium has prepared a final project conference next December 13th in order to share with the audience the results achieved in this innovation action based on the digital transformation of port terminal operations. The event, which will be completely carried out online, will start at 1500 pm CET requires register via an easy online form. Once signed up, the link to access the meeting will be shared the day before the event and the conference will also be broadcasted on YouTube.
