El pasado mes de octubre se puso en marcha el proyecto H2020 “PIONEERS” (PORTable Innovation Open Network for Efficiency and Emissions Reduction Solutions), liderado por el puerto de Amberes y conformado por un consorcio de 45 organizaciones.
Nace como respuesta de los puertos europeos al reto climático, y su objetivo principal es encontrar diferentes modos de reducir la emisión de gas de efecto invernadero (GEI) de los puertos europeos, sin afectar a su competitividad.
Para ello, los puertos de Amberes, Barcelona, Constanza y Venlo trabajarán junto al resto de entidades, entre las que se encuentra Prodevelop, abordando la cuestión desde cuatro ejes principales:
- Producción y suministro de energía limpia.
- Diseño sostenible de puerto.
- Cambio modal y optimización de flujos.
- Transformación digital.
Con casi 30 años de experiencia en el sector y como expertos en transformación digital, nuestro papel se centrará en el desarrollo del master plan de transición energética del puerto de Barcelona.
Mediante nuestra participación en el proyecto, pretendemos conseguir un gemelo digital de las emisiones del puerto y de este modo, aportar nuestro granito de arena para combatir el cambio climático y hacer del sector portuario un espacio más saludable y más verde.
